Micro-blogging:

Micro-blogging is a type of blogging that lets users to publish short text updates. Micro-blog is different from a traditional blog. Unlike traditional blogs, which are often published on a custom website, micro-blogs are typically published on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Micro-blogs are limited with individual posts, limited by character count typically. It allow users to exchange small elements of content such as short sentences, individual images, or video links. The most common and popular micro-blogging platform is Twitter, which allows users to post updates of 140 character or less. There are several other social media sites available that allow micro-blogging service like Tumblr, Google+, Instagram, Vine, etc.
